The CJ Phoenix team took machine parts that had been left exposed to the elements for nine years and engineered a fully functional cage welder for Hynds Pipes. This project included designing and installing a new control panel for the system, enabling efficient welding of metal cages that are later reinforced with concrete. Our work transformed unused, weathered components into a reliable, productive asset for the client’s manufacturing process.
Project Highlight – Rotary Bag Machine Integration for Total Repack
When Total Repack received a rotary bagging machine from China, it came with limited documentation, incorrectly labelled HMI functions, and poorly written code that prevented integration with other equipment in the production line.
Our team took on the challenge – recovering and translating the HMI functions, rewriting the code, and seamlessly integrating the system with a weigh head and outfeed conveyor.
We invested hours perfecting the precise sequence of operations:
- Positioning the bag under the opener
- Activating the vacuum pump and solenoid valves to drive the rams
- Dropping the opener and injecting air to open the bag
- Safely shutting down all opening functions once complete
- Sending a confirmation signal for product release to the next station
